What about the marble cliffs?

Hi everyone,

I am new to Ernst Juengers writings and have just read "Auf der 
Marmorklippen" - a book I guess most of you already have read and
thought about.

Therefore, I would appreciate opinions concerning its allegorical 
meaning and Juengers use of symbols; what may, for example, the marble 
cliffs stand for?

Please forgive me if someone finds this topic too trivial.
