Dear juengerists,

connectected with the Frankfurt book fair, the 'Frankfurter Allgemeine
Zeitung' yesterday published a list of the ten books written by german
authors with are most often read (i.e., apparently best sold) in Poland
in the year 2000 (Poland is focal theme of the fair).
The astonishing result is that Jünger's Stahlgewitter / Storms of Steel
receive rank eight; the complete list you will please find below. Are
there any comparable listings for other countries?
1. G. Grass, Mein Jahrhundert
2. Th. Mann, Der Zauberberg
3. M. Reich-Ranicki, Mein Leben
4. H. Hesse, Das Glasperlenspiel
5. H. Böll, Billiard um halb zehn
6. G. Grass, Die Blechtrommel
7. E. M. Remarque, Im Westen nichts Neues
8. E. Jünger, In Stahlgewittern
9. Th. Mann, Die Buddenbrooks
10. H. Bienek, Gleiwitzer Tetralogie.

Sincerely,

Joachim Thiede
