Some long time ago I brought the subject of Russian translations of E.J.
work up in this list. John King referred to Heliopolis and mentioned the
possibility of a few Polish translations - due to special relations of
Polish and French culture. 

There is a top Russian book store in Zürich - Pinkus - who is famous for
finding everything and I asked about such a translation ... no go. 

Glass Bees or Eumeswil would be good starters for a translation. Storm
of Steel or Der Arbeiter is too far away now. Marmorklippen: might be
interesting to know, if the call to resist a deadly régime reaches the
Russian reader today after the ideology has gone and the Mauretanians
are still active.
