If there is one quote which sums up there later Juenger's attitude towards political engagement on the part of the author, then in my opinion its the one from "Autor und Autorschaft" which Heimo Schwilk included in his pictorial biography of Juenger; "Der Autor wird sich auf die Katastrophenstimmung nicht einlassen..." On the other hand, depending on your point of view, this might seem a very political assertion.
