mailing list archive - essay

Hello everyone,
My name is John Fitzgerald and I was a
list member for about a year, before I resigned
recently in a fit of pique, depressed by my inability
to contribute.
Lately I have had some time on my hands and
have been reading "Strahlungen". I have just finished
an essay on this book and the current world situation
entitled, :"The Third Testament: 'Strahlungen' and the
War on Terror." Surprised and pleased at this sudden
burst of inspiration I have rejoind the list and would
like to share my piece with fellow "Juengerians" in
the hope of sparking debate.
However, I am unsure as to the best way of
doing this. I could, of course, e-mail it, but at 1500
words or thereabouts I wouldn't want to be accused of
boring anyone. Alternatively, I could post it to
anyone who is interested . Maybe the best option is to
take to heart what Picasso said to EJ in 1942: "Look,
this painting I've just finished is going to have a
certain effect; but this would be exactly the same,
metaphysically speaking, if I wrapped it up in paper
and kept it in a corner. This would be exactly the
same thing as if ten thousand paople had admired it."!
I don't know. What do you think?
       Best wishes, John Fitzgerald, MANCHESTER.
