And I doubt whether any German translator would choose "Stahlgewitter" as the translation of "naddels bodi" which literally means what? PS: Bonn in Silicon valley? Must be a joke but the sense escapes me. Bonn's real merits are first of all that it is a pleasant middle size city with all the amenities of a big city. Apart from that there are some more dubious characteristics. If Cologne and Düsseldorf did not exist Bonn would be the capital of Karneval, Beethoven was born here because he couldn't prevent it, and we have a parliament here which thinks that Berlin is the betterplace to rule the country from. (The latter view, by the way, I can quite well understand after some trips to Berlin last year which I found to be a surprisingly interesting and agreeable metropolis. The reconstruction going on there is to my mind a symptom of a healing process which the country in general is undergoing: the horrible scars of the war and of the Nazi nightmare are fading at last...) No, I was not joking. There have been massive media reports here that Bonn is receiving much help for establishing IT businesses. Maybe these reports are incorrect? Agree with you wholeheartedly on Berlin, the healing process and the fading. Looking forward to your views on my second contribution indicating Egil's Saga.
