Dort ist unermeßlicher Vorrat für sie. Der Künstler erfindet nicht--er stellt dar. Daher stimmen seine Bilder mit der natürlichen wie mit der geschichtlichen Welt überein, selbst wenn er von dort keine Vorbilder entliehen hat; er ist ihnen ursprünglich verwandt. So weiß er, was ihnen zukommt: Repekt und Distanz. Zum Kunstwerk sind keine Apparate nötig; sie sind ihm vielmehr schon durch ihre Gegenwart abträglich. Neben der visuellen Wüste bahnt sich eine akustische Hölle an. Wie überall in der Welt der Spiele, ist auch hier der Aufwand schädlich; Kinderhand ist leicht gefüllt. DIE SCHERE #66: Rough translation The ideal structuring of space is the task of art, that creates out of silence and the invisible. There it finds an immeasurable wealth of material. The artist does not invent--he shows. This is why his images are congruent with the worlds of nature and history, even when he has not borrowed his models from those; by origin, he is their kin. Thus he knows what is their due: respect and distance. For a work of art no technological media are necessary; on the contrary they impair it by their mere presence. Next to the visual wasteland an acoustic hell is gaining ground. Like everywhere in the realm of games, inappropriate effort has a harmful effect; a child's hand is easily filled.
