Just a few words regarding the Association Eumeswil's Web Site - thanks
John for adding us to your great site, but your Italian really is not up
to your German! Or are you mixing up the two as I always do ...
"Assoziatione "?! Just joking.

The pages have been translated into English now - German will be
forthcoming. As of this moment, our materials cover mostly what is
happening in Florence. John's site seems to be the international forum
for Ernst Junger. But we do hope that the world sees our efforts and not
just Florentines, so please look and comment as well please.

Personally I hope that the mailing list gets going again - I would
especially be interested in any comments on Aladdin's Problem and
Junger's vision in this book on the restoration of a cult of the dead in
our world. This neccessity appeals to me intuitively and also purely
logically. Yet it seems to me that we are not quite ready for that phase
yet - especially here in North America where the Titanic world is only
now beginning to mature, only now coming to see the power that is coming
its way. How can we think of death in the drunken heights of our power?
And yet, it is true that mythologically speaking the Titans' moment is
brief, they are tragically destined. Perhaps this book is not as
futuristic as it seems... perhaps it is one of Junger's books that
speaks most directly about this moment and the near future - much more
contemporary than Eumeswil for example.Comments? Can anyone see any sign
of a returning cult of the dead in our world?
