1st: I regret that you can say this about this film and that you never did understand the bitterness of war experience especially in WW I. It seems you never have read "Der Untertan" by Heinrich Mann and you apparently did not understand the character of Himmelstoss in "Im Westen nichts Neues". 2nd:The Reichswehr never was a Defense Army as you try to make believe. It was an Imperialist Army(e.g. look for the Hunnenrede by Wilhelm II). Please do not glorify anything about this army, you should rather listen to the song:"Hanging On The Old Barbed Wire" by Chumbawamba. It describes quite well what war was all about in this army and in WW I! What you say seems to "qualify" you as a militarist. No, I am not really against the Bundeswehr, I have even been a soldier and to say it in your words "have served my country", but I dislike the development in this army towards neofascism and so much scandals! I really did NOT aprecciate your unreflected stupid thoughts about all of this! Andreas
