The arguments as they may be especially from the detractors leave very little room for a broader definition of resistance. So you want to leave your country what do you do then? What is a form of "Widerstand"? Do you have to fall fighting in the streets? Die in concentration camps? be executed by the peoples courts to be called a resistance fighter? So if you are conscripted and you don't want to end in a concentration camp, what do you do then? I'm sorry but it seems a little to easy to write from a comfy chair that these people are all traitors to the greater cause of freedom (Slavery to state taxes and banking) and Democracy (Oligarchy). What one needs to do is simply imagine living in the same conditions and deciding what you would do. Leaving the country with all of your family might not be so easy. So what then? Leave your family behind, that could also sound cowardly and self centerd. But then again leaving the country and not fighting is not resistance but more like seeking refuge. Is that any different than seeking refuge in anonymity? Certainly the arguments of the lawyers of the list are only circumstancial evidence based on opinion at the moment, nothing to convict apon. Andreas, Chumbawumba is just another pop band with mediocre lyrics that sold out to lesser fame and thereby reduced any credibility they had formerly. (A lover of British Punk) ... why not quote some great anti-war writers or folk lyrics similiar to the second piece?
