Gerd, Thank you very much for responding. Happy to hear that somebody on the list owns the English translation. Would guess it was published towards the end of the 1940s. As I am preparing a paper for delivery later this year I am seeking the English version of Chapter 46 of _Die Perfektion der Technik_. If I cover the costs of copying and postage might you consider helping me out? Forgot to tell about the fact (maybe this also in the American edition) that the production of the book was dramatic. The book could be published in 1946 only although the manuscript was completed in 1939. "Durch Bombenangriffe wurde sowohl der Satz in Hamburg wie die fertiggestellte Auflage in Freiburg bis auf wenige Exemplare zerstoert. In der gleichen Zeit druckte der Drucker Victor Hammer in Lexington, Ky, der im Besitze eines Manuskripts war, zusammen mit seinem Sohne, neun Exemplare in Handdruck und gedieh mit diesen langwierigen, sorgsamen Arbeit bis zur Seite 60.
