As componets of a list about one of the best writers of the "siecle" -
the best in my personal opinion -, we should be careful with words
and thoughts - litetarian, philosophic, artistic, science or whatever
ones.

About dandism

Notwithstanding, we would be in mistake if we would want to see in
Nietzsche a violence´s apologist or someone that, due to his
moral insensibility, would enjoy others pain. That blindness
towards frailty, with his histrionic retoric of cruelty and power,- "that
takes suffering unceremoniously and protect itself against all forms
of sadness", "that feels necessary all froms of disguise in order to
protect itself from inopportune and compasive hands" - not only
paticipates in a force´s ethic, oriented to perseverate in the "being"
or to keep fidelity to "plaisir", also presuppose a certain
"philosophic dandism". This is a feat he shares with a tradition of
literarian dandism, in love with provocation and aesthetic
contemplation of evil, which is extended from Charles Baudelaire to
Ernst Junger. Instead of insensibility or inhumanity, this attitude
show a nature of extreme sensibility that needs to cover itself with
iron masks in a world which cruelty also is hiden behind disguises
of compassion or abstract philanthropy. Here lies the suspicion of
that masked-man: when the tame world becomes denuded it
emerges unsuspected atavistic features. In front of them, the
aristocractic and warring affectation, so in love with cruelty
disguises and skeptical with "others" pain, not only plays a tragedy
but also a farse which "dramatis personae - Dionisio, the Anti-
Christ, Zaratrusta, Superman - conceals a lot of pain and
desperation. The best portrait of this facet was skecthed by
Nietzsche himself: " It exist free and insolent spirits that would
wanted to hide and deny that they are broken hearts, proud,
hopeless ones: and some times the nonsense itself is the used
masquerade to conceal a miserly knowledge which is too much
ceratin. From which reason its infered that have respect "to the
mask" would be inherent to a more subtile humanity" (JGB
226/270).
