ernst jünger in cyberspace

mailing list archive - Reply to Alles .....

Point 1) Despite having read both books, comprehension of the Anarch/Only
distinction still eludes me. Junger suggests the anarchist/anarch and
owner/egoist distinctions as analogous to this one. Perhaps then the
difference lies in the depth to which the idea is embodied. The degree of
substantiality. I can marry someone or I can actually experience
metaphysical unity with someone. Perhaps the Only has married the idea but
not become it. Why is Vigo the only one in Eumeswil who would be capable of
understanding it - perhaps this is a lead to follow. No other suggestions
for the moment - your query remotivates me to get back to this important
point.

Point 2) Would you not then be a solipsist - and therefore neither an anarch
nor "Only". Junger makes it clear that although Stirner was seen as a
solipsist, he was not. All may be illusion, but some illusions conform more
objectively to underlying facts than others (All art is not Art). And
"facts", despite their elusiveness, are the anarch's world.

	Gretings to all:

Thanx in advance for the interesting subjects you have being
posting in the list. In this post, hoping to not desapoint anyone, I would
like to place you some doubts I have.

	1. In Eumeswil theres a reference (a very big one by the away) to
Stirner's Unique. where do you think he missed the target? (I mean, whats
that big little diference betwen Stirner's Unique One and the anarch?)
	2. personal opinion: desbelieving in moral/ethical judgements, due
to their relativitie, I must thanx Junger for the most interesting world
he build on human heritage. and although nothings true, if you know such,
them you can choose the most beautiful lies to live on :).
	3. para os leitores em Portugues uma saudacao especial. viva o
multiplicidade das linguas que nos enriquece com novas associacoes de
conceitos e maneiras de raciocinar!
(for the portuguese readers one special salut. hurra! for the
language multiplicitie wich makes us richer with new concepts associations
and ways of thinking)
	4. last but not least. can remember who started it but why let the
chess game die?

			Salut,

                              Ricardo Reis
