Mohler is writing on FGJ under the heading "Die Leitbilder" in _Die konservative Revolution... (1972; 2nd ed.). "Friedrich Georg Juenger zeichnet in _Die Perfektion der Technik_ die "lineare" Welt auf ihrer Hoehe und zugleich an ihrem Ende: die Technik als Verschleuderung der Fuelle, als blosser Verzehr". (Seite 100) This in connection with the view of Mohler that "eternal return" plays an important role in the ideology of the Conservative revolution. The ever more dominating technology in the view of FGJ seems to be the final flowering of civilization and thus expresses his adherence to the cyclical view of world history. _Die Perfektion der Technik_ was first published in 1946 and one can of course in 1999 ponder the question whether FGJ's prognosis was correct. We seem to enter an ever continuing linear period of steady development, progress and increasing wealth. Best wishes Bertil Haggman
