Asunto:	7th Contribution by Bertil Haggman from _Die Schere_ - Part I

155 (p. 112)

Von Nietzsche wird die titanische Welt
bereits naeher erfasst - zwar nicht
bewusster als von Schopenhauer, doch
instinktiver; er ist ihr Vorkämpfer
und Teilhaber. Er sieht sie nicht
pessimistisch, sondern bejaht sie
als Prophet. Der Wille ist fuer ihn nicht
blind, sondern hat Ziele; die Verwandschaft
des Uebermenschen mit Prometheus ist frueh
erkannt worden."

Die neue Heraufkunft der Titanen, die seit
der Entmachtung des Kronos stets auf der
Lauer liegen, hat zwei Voraussetzungen:
die Götter muessen das Feld raeumen, und
die Weltuhr muss ihren Gang aendern. Sie muss
zueckgestellt werden zum Behagen des Goldenen
Zeitalters, wie Hesiod es beschreibt.

(To be continued)

Commentary

The gods retreat and the titans take over.
But not forever. I seem to remember EJ
believing that the 21st century will belong
to the titans but that the gods will return in
the 22nd. The interpretations of Oswald Spengler's
main work are many. One such could be the deceptive 30-
year era beginning with the 1990s. Then, Spengler
believed, that a world empire (Die Weltstaat) would
rise controlled by a tyrant (after the end of democracy)
who would found it late in the 21st century. The slow
decline of Western civilization would not begin until
the 24th century and in the 26th century the world
state was ready to slide into chaos. To make these inter-
pretations it is necessary to compare with key events
from the histories of Rome, China, Islam and Egypt.
But on the other hand market economy and democracy might
prevail.

[Roberto Calvo Macias] Its seems to be very difficult make
long term predictions cause we must have in mind that the
ryhtm itself is accelerating, and that constrain tyme/time.
By the way- Bertil, which its the main work of Spengler?, he is
not well known here in Spain, I have read The Man and the
Tekné- I am not sure of the title, is that his main work?.
Could you tell me another interesting titles of OS.
Thanks in advance.

Best wishes
