Hello out there, Mark Grzeskowiak has kindly sent me an index he made of "Siebzig Verweht I-V" to put up as an example of how to do it. I have turned it into an HTML-version, plus there's the original WordPerfect file to download. My (our, I believe) thanks go out to Mark. I put it up at Ernst Juenger in Medialand http://www.snafu.de/~os/juenger/ Seeing this example maybe we should redefine our task at hand: How about limiting ourselves to the "real" diaries "Strahlungen" and "Siebzig Verweht" and indeed do it by date? Pages would be nice too though, if we should go on to cover the other volumes of SW at some stage. One thing I forgot that would have to be indexed is his own works, off course. And what names of people and places to take down would be left to the discretion of the indexer. My first real look at "Strahlungen" showed that we can't take down all names. Monikers like Kniébolo should appear in the index for themselves, with a (Hitler) in brackets (IMHO). And who else would be interested in joining the chain gang? Greetings from Berlin, Olaf
