mailing list archive - Wisdom from Junger - true ...

If you lived here, you would FEEL the seriousness of it!!!
Especially out on the NW "frontier". On the other hand, real
wilderness still survives here and that is perhaps even more
salutary to the modern soul than diluted or decomposing old
culture. A trade off.

It is interesting to hear a quote from Junger on N.America -
surprizingly rare in his work. I suppose all the references
to Titans are applicable to NA ...

Subject: [ejlist] Wisdom from Juenger

Hello out there,

just a little quote from EJ I came across yesterday: "...in
dem fuer
Menschen von Kultur unbewohnbarsten Land der Welt, in
Nordamerika..."
(AH1, 137) RFC. (I'm not being serious, but I guess Juenger
was).

What a pleasure it is to reread "Das Abenteuerliche Herz".
Every other
sentence is good for a quote, really.

Sundaily greetings from Berlin

Olaf
