There was only a 1994 Constable edition of 'The Storm of Steel' (there never
was a Penguin edition; Penguin published a UK reprint of 'On the Marble
Cliffs' at that time, though). The Constable edition was a reprint of the
Chatto and Windus one, using Basil Creighton's translation, which is not the
only existing English translation, but it's the only one that ever got
printed. There exists a second, more recent translation of 'In
Stahlgewittern' by Hermann Broch de Rothermann, which never got printed. I
don't know if Juenger was aware of Broch de Rothermann's translation, but it
is an open secret that he didn't like the 1929 translation (he liked it then
as his exchange of letters with Chatto and Windus proves), but in his later
years he didn't want it to be published (as it was based on an early, very
nationalistic version of 'In Stahlgewittern'). In recent years various
publishers in the US have expressed their interest in an all-new
translation, so in a couple of years time a new translation based on the
'Ausgabe letzter Hand' of 'In Stahlgewittern' might be around.
