Junger medal question revisited

I'm sorry I don't remember the name, but I recall a few weeks ago a list
member asked  about a particular medal worn by Junger in a picture at an EJ
website.

I've just come across a 1995 article about EJ which notes; "The German
government has bestowed on him its highest civil award, the
'Bundesverdienstkreuz'". Given that Junger thought highly enough of the
medal to wear it alone with his Pour le Merite, perhaps that's it.
