Bertil,

I can't speak for EJ (what he thinks of genocide can be seen in
"Strahlungen") but I guess he'd find it as horrible as I do. But I don't
think taht bombing a whole country's infrastructure to smithereens
can be the answer to a political problem. Where was the West and
the NATO and the UN when the opposition was about to oust
Milosevic by fair means (they even won elections back then), and
Milosevic (who had already dirtied his hands in Slovenia, Kroatia
and Bosnia by that time) did the dirty on them? Why did all those
Goodies have to wait for a second genocide? Why, for that matter,
is Saddam Hussein still alive and kicking, having a ball in Bagdad?

I simply don't know, I just think that what the people in power tell us
what they're doing (saving the world) and what they really do is two
different ball games....

(JK, sorry, couldn't think of an EJ angle here ;-)

Greetings from Berlin,

Olaf
