Call me too puritanical or Prussian, but this list is about Ernst =
Juenger. And not about Paul Kennedy and his views on the Pax Americana.=20

Let's keep our postings on topic, i.e. let's always make a direct =
reference to either Juenger's life or his books or an aspect in his =
philosophy. I don't think America's role in the world or other similarly =
"loaded" issues should be discussed here, at least not without explicit =
reference to Juenger -- there are so many other forums to do that.=20

As someone who's been on the Juenger list from day one I can only say =
that discussing politics just doesn't do this list any good. We've been =
through our flame wars during the Kosovo war and I personally wouldn't =
want to see that happening again.=20

One of the merits of John has been to create a platform where =
rightwingers and leftwingers, anti-Americans and Atlanticists, mystics =
and pragmatists come together to share information about a writer and =
thinker they all take an interest in without getting at each other's =
throats. I tip my hat to you, John, for accomplishing this difficult =
task and hope the list will stay that way.=20

Regards,
Richard Brem
