Not a specialist, but the SS was the political-army of the NS, a SS never
worked.
As for EJ, he was """appreciated""" by only a.h. and not by the entourage,
because he had some historical (not geographical) passports, his time during
WWI, his medals (Pour le Merite), and over all, Storms of steel, for the
propaganda aspect.

About the USA and the historical comparisons, it's very hard to make
theories about this, we can only constat the facts, history is not a
science, it is first a knowledge. For example USA are still a mix of colony,
mean a country with a short history, and also the first military power.
For a trivial image, would say the cards are totally re-dealt.

This is the old theme of the end of history that Mr Fukuyama renewed in the
earlier nineties. Did he receive concrete-blocks of the TWC on his head, did
he read Baudrillard. Whatever the length of the periods, out of the genius
and the titans of history such as Toynbee, Braudel and others, we must
consider them.

For the anecdote, on the way to Moscow Napoleon'soldiers - there were many
foreign soldiers as Saxons, Bavarians etc..among them - used their feet and
horses. I see in this a limit to technic in 1941 and I'm not a bonapartist.
On a other hand there would be many things to say about the amorality of the
technicians. ("the technical aristocracy" --> LOL)
Globally agree with the rest of considerations, about Die Arbeiter.

I'm very interested in discussing in a costructive debate. In this mail I
have commented your considerations: I haven't a great culture, because I'm
17, but these opinions came from reading:
