Todd, Don't think there was such a letter from Hitler But there is a document, false or not, in which the president of the People's Court, Dr. Freisler (to Bormann), is writing among other things: "Am 20.I.M (November 20) hat der Fuehrer von Wolfschanze aus mir fernmuendlich der Befehl erteilt, die Sache (against Ernst Juenger, note) nicht weiter zu verfolgen. Heil Hitler ! Dr Freisler In der Anlage uebersende ich drei Aktenbaende z. obg. Sache - der Fuehrer wuenscht sofortige Vorlage." The document is dated Berlin December 1, 1944. For a detailed article on this see Document Exclusif: "Ernst Juenger = face aux Nazis", Magazine Litteraire, Paris, No. 300, June 1992. All the best Bertil > I have been writing a bit on Ernst Junger and hoped > that someone here might help.
