The web archive of the mailing list archive contains:

• the Oxford mailing list archives from February 1997 to January 2000.
• the pairlist archives from March 2000 to June 2001

Missing from the web archives are:

• Oxford mailing list archives pre-February 1997. This is because I was then rather inexperienced in IT and did not think to download the archive files before they were automatically deleted.
• February 2000. The mailing list was in limbo between Oxford and pairlist.

how the web archive was assembled

The previous version of the site had a rudimentary version of the Oxford mail archive files (produced by majordomo>). They were processed using the default settings on hypermail>. The mailman> software which runs pairlist> produces web based archives - in a different, equally basic format. With the relaunch of the juenger.org site, I wanted to bring the archives together and stamp them with the new look and feel. However, the pairlist archives couldn't be processed with hypermail, so I turned instead to mhonarc, a perl based mailbox to web conversion utility. After much fine-tuning of style sheets, layout and php includes, the final result was generated and uploaded.
